The Fire Spot is my go to AYCE BBQ spot in San Diego for high quality meats. I recommend getting the deluxe menu for $38.99. It's well worth the $5 upgrade over the base menu as you can indulge in the prime cut steak. This is my favorite meat on the menu. I like to season them with salt, sear them on high heat, then cut them up and let them cook to a medium rare. I order them on every round. The charcoal grills at the Fire Spot give the meat a richness of flavor you cannot obtain on regular KBBQ grills. When coming for dinner, plan to arrive at opening at 4:30 pm if you can. You need to check-in in person on the iPad. I've come at 5:30 pm and needed to wait 1 hour with a group of 3. That being said, it is worth the wait because the quality of the meats is superior to other AYCE spots in San Diego. To break up the hot greasy meats, I highly recommend the cold noodles. They are a quality standalone entree quality dish! These would normally cost $15 as a standalone entree. The servers are friendly and hardworking. I highly recommend you check this spot out!

Came here last week for dinner during the weekend. They use waitlist for their line so we knew an estimate on how long we'd be waiting. This place is definitely worth the wait! We ordered their premium menu and everything was delicious! Meat quality was really good and love all the options for sides. Also love that they use charcoal grills. We'll be coming here more for kbbq

Found this spot on Yelp prior to my stay in San Diego and was not disappointed. With charcoal kbbq spots few and far between, I had to check it out. The first thing I noticed is that the restaurant (and the parking lot) are quite small and you will probably have to wait before eating. But it was most definitely worth it. The charcoal taste was an amazing addition to their already quality meats. In addition their soups and sides that could be ordered were much better than your average kbbq spot with the soondubu standing out to me. They also offer a variety of dipping sauces such as ponzu as well as a spicy garlic. My only real complaint is that their banchans were a bit lacking but everything else was so good that I barely had time to snack on them anyways. A must visit for KBBQ in San Diego

I decided to take my parents here and we got the more expensive option. My parents really enjoyed it and liked the quality of the food. I also really liked their dry seasoning that they have. The servers are really attentive and nice. The place is a bit small so there is definitely a wait on weekends.
